Erected 1692-1705, the Schwedenspeicher today is the home of a museum
for history (10,000 years in the Stade area)
and changing exhibits. You also will find a permanent collection of
9,300 tin figures.

Fortress with cultural events
Festung Grauerort
Stade-Abbenfleth
Pirates (12th century) and foreign troops (Swedish, Danish and French)
have been in the area. Then a Prussian fortress was build under
supervision of military engineer Captain Labes to protect the Elbe
river. Later the fortress became a depot and factory for sea mines.
About the interesting history can be learned by taking a guided tour.
(Opening hours April to October: sundays/holydays 10:30am to 6pm -
tours:
11:00am, 1:00pm, 3:00pm and 4:30pm - special tours upon request.)
From time to time cultural events take place in the fortress. The
location can be rented for private events.

The disco is located in Bevern, the community belongs to Bremervörde.
Federal highway B74 to Bremervörde, then B71 to Bevern.
It's something like a cult disco of the area for many years.

The fare (9 €) includes a 5 € entrance fee for the disco.

To the Elbe River
Stadersand
It is a good place to watch huge ships on their way to and from Hamburg. The distance to downtown is about 5km.
A quiet tip is the small beach at the lighthouse.
Abbenfleth
A larger beach can be found in Stade-Abbenfleth (located at highway to Wischhafen). The distance to downtown is about 10km.
Walking distance from bus stop to the beach is about 1km (KVG's time table, route #2025). The Abbenflether Hafenstraße leads to the dike with beach access. Signs guide to public restrooms and the "DeichCafe", parking spots available.
Abbenfleth can also be reached by travelling the "Elberadweg" (long distance biking trail - see by bike).
In Stade-Abbenfleth also Festung Grauerort (fortress) is available.
